Merchants Manor Hotel and Spa Joins Global Force for Good
Merchants Manor – Ethical Update
Merchants Manor Spa Hotel has proudly become the first hotel in the UK to join a global project to create a sustainable future for us all. The NOW force for good is the first global community that brings hospitality business and the traveller together in one place to make a difference to the environment, the community and the way we travel.
It makes the hotels very visibly accountable and gives travellers a choice in where they stay that goes beyond simply a sticker on the door.
The project is twofold – recognising the demand for travellers wanting to find, track and book getaways based on businesses that offer and are clearly devoted to sustainable future, whilst working with companies to create transparent strategies and procedures. The two a married together by an app called “Now Track and Book” Which allows likeminded travellers the opportunity to find the prefect travel destination with hotels and alike which share likeminded values.
The globally renowned project works in collaboration with both Earthcheck – offering sustainability advice to over 70 countries and Whole World Water. The goals we are measured by have been endorsed by the United Nations, celebrities and business leaders throughout the world including, Meryl Streep, John Legend and Richard Branson, using their status to empower and engage in making a real difference in the world.
Nick & Sioned Rudlin owners of Merchants Manor “ We have been lucky enough to meet the team behind It Must Be Now in person and found their story so powerful and moving we signed up on the spot. We have adopted this partnership as central to our goals for the business and really challenge all the hotels in Cornwall to join us in this initiative. If ever there was a time for us all to come together and put Cornwall at the heart of global eco tourism and reduce its impact – It Must Be Now.
