Our head chef Dale McIntosh has put together an elegant menu of locally sourced produce, cooked to perfection for this special evening of food, friends and fun.

Join us for an evening of fine dining with great company as we play host to our friends over at Social Dining Network. Our head chef Dale McIntosh has put together an elegant menu of locally sourced produce, cooked to perfection for this special evening of food, friends and fun.

Social Dining Network is a new business that offers a refreshing way for people to meet new friends or even their soulmate whilst enjoying some of the finest food in the county.

Andy McConnachie, co-founder and creative director of Social Dining Network said:

“There’s nothing like a shared love of food to get people talking to each other and we are confident the network will work as a good alternative to dating agencies, as well as making new friends or a networking opportunity.”

Network members are given the chance to attend themed nights all over the county, tasting a variety of the beautiful cuisine that Cornwall has to offer. However, events aren’t limited to tables and chairs. Social Dining Network also run exclusive trips into our picturesque surroundings for barbeques and foraging evenings, with the chance to see top local chefs perform demos that show you how to get the most out of your foraged goods!

The classic Merchants Manor ‘fine dining’ theme for the evening will see members enjoy a combination of traditional dishes with a modern twist – using only the highest quality local produce. As a special treat, we’ve also got a fabulous live performance from The Grace Notes in the lounge as a perfect finale to this special evening.

Encompassing the traditional brasserie restaurant concept of friendly service, local seasonal produce, simply cooked and imaginatively presented in a relaxed atmosphere…

We are passionate about our produce – whether it is from local foragers, plucked straight from our waters or delivered by one of our many Cornish farmers or artisan producers. The emphasis is on big flavours, everything from breads through to puddings is homemade, and top quality meat, poultry and game are the backbone of the menu, accompanied by a well-rounded wine list.

Here’s the beautiful four course beef and gin inspired menu put together by Dale for this special evening:

Come along with friends or come to make friends – our Social Dining Network evening will have it all; local foods, quality drinks, soulful Jazz and a friendly bustling atmosphere.
