An Adults Only Hotel in Falmouth, Cornwall
Merchants Manor is exclusively for adults. With no children allowed, you can look forward to a peaceful stay on the south Cornish coast. We’re just ten minutes from Gylly Beach and a short walk from Falmouth town.
The spa is quiet, breakfast is served late, and dinner is on your terms. You can read by the pool without interruptions. If that sounds good to you, you’ll feel right at home here.
A boutique hotel built around the slow morning
We have just over twenty rooms, each unique and made for two guests. Some open onto the garden, and some feature roll top baths. There are no family suites or connecting doors here.
Breakfast is served until late, so you can enjoy it in the dining room, the bar, or even in bed. Our kitchen offers a Cornish full English with eggs cooked to your liking, along with lighter and continental options if you prefer.
The Linen Rooms spa
Many guests choose our adults-only hotel in Cornwall for the spa. It’s a calm space with a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy pool, and treatment rooms. There are no splash zones or family time slots, just a spa that lets you truly relax. Couples can also book treatments together in our double room.
A residents-only restaurant
Dinner is reserved for guests, which keeps the dining room quiet and lets the kitchen focus on quality. The menu changes with the catch of the day and what’s fresh from our garden, so you can expect light bites of local meats, classic nibbles and naughty desserts.
Adults only and dog friendly
Here’s what makes us different: most adults-only hotels in Cornwall don’t allow dogs, and most dog-friendly hotels welcome families with children. We do both, because we believe people who travel with their dogs also value a quiet hotel.
Dogs are welcome in the hotel and our self-catering residences, including the Landlubber. You’ll have your own front door, your own kitchen, and easy access to all of Falmouth. The South West Coast Path is just a short walk away, Swanpool and Maenporth are close by, and most harbour pubs will offer your dog a bowl of water before taking your order.
Where we are
Falmouth is a lively harbour town that stays open year-round, even in February. You’ll find independent shops, classic pubs, the National Maritime Museum, and gig rowers on the water most summer evenings. There are three beaches within the town, and ferries to St Mawes and Flushing leave from the bottom of the high street.
We’re just a few minutes uphill from everything, set back in our own grounds. This means you can enjoy the town when you want, and peace and quiet when you don’t.

Adults only stays at Merchants Manor
No matter if you’re booking a room, a spa break, or a self-catering residence, the rule is always the same: guests must be eighteen or older, all year round, everywhere on the property.
